There are many options for mini systems with the 3/5FWx cases – these can be used as standalone setups or expanders (for Bug or other systems).
Perhaps a nice way to dip a toe – though noting these cases don’t have expandability designed in like the regular Powered Frames.

The 3/5FWx cases have a 190mA per side DCDC with 3 power headers so can take three modules.
The ideas pictured here:
- Joy/Touch, FQA, PT @ £605 -> Processing and control – remembering that the Joystick section can be used as a signal attenuator/inverter.
- CVCO, DDSR, DDiv @ £700 -> A little clocking box – of course, you might want to swap the CVCO (here suggested as a clock) over to another clocking module such as Logic, DDrct etc.
- FQA, PT @ £400 -> Sidecar processing – this was ordered to site between a Buchla & a Serge.
- 2Touch, Weevil, FQA @ £595 -> A lovely little chaos box with touch control. You may also want to consider the DPre rather than the 2Touch.
- Chirper, Expander, Drv VCA @ £695 -> The expanded Chirper along with a gnarly VCA.
You may want to consider Interface Cables to bring signals In/Out.
